Hi, I have to drive in heavy snow and I aired down my beadlock wheels pretty low for better traction.

I didn't get beadlocks for my Taco and I am wondering what is considered the lowest PSI safe range before risking damage. I will be going slow and no off roading...just driving through heavy snow on pavement.

    I'm thinking 20-25psi?

I go down to 12 psi when I wheel. I've heard of guys going down lower as well.

I run 10-15psi in the desert with no bead locks. Speeds up to 65-70mph...

    Lower pressure increases heat.
    Speed increases heat.

What is safe off road at 20mph is not safe on the highway at 80.
20-25? I'd keep it at 40mph or below.
Keep in mind that while lower pressure helps with flotation on sand and perhaps snow, it lowers the speed at which you will begin to hydroplane.

Hell I see people running 1 psi. With beadlocks of course. I run 8 without beadlocks. Use to run 8 only in the snow. But I started using 8 all the time. Sometimes 10-14 of I'm paranoid about busting a bead, or will see a lot of mud(hate mud...). This is offroad.

For on road, depends on your speed, and how much snow/slush/ice. 20 should be fine if there's no pavement. But running low psi on pavement will cause your tires to wear on the outside edges. If that's what you mean by damage.

No< I meant more about breaking the bead at low PSI. The pavement is covered with snow so the fact that its pavement is moot except to point out that I'm not rock or dune climbing.

There wont be alot of heat generated in theses temps.

You won't break the bead at 20-25 psi.
