I noticed my suspension making some noises over the past week; I figured things just needed to be re-torqued. Today I go to take a look and find this. I haven't done any off-roading recently, only daily driving to and from work (8 miles). I bought the UCA's brand new about 3 years ago, so about 50k miles on them.

I need some advice... Is this a known problem with LR UCA's? Anybody have a similar experience? Will they help me with something like this?

Also, is it ok to continue driving with this? I don't know how long it has been like this, but I can't imagine it happened too long ago.

    Thanks for any input.

I would not drive with a busted UCA. Other individuals had similar issue with the LR UCA. Contact Specialty Products Company, they may send you another set.

I wouldn't drive that anywhere. It looks like the gap in the crack enlarged in the last photo.

Seems like it was a problem with the older UCAs. The newer ones are suppose to be stronger. Think people had luck with warranty. Definitely call them. I have the newer model and hopefully won't have any problems like that.

I emailed SPC over the weekend and got a response first thing this morning. Customer service was great. They're sending me a new set (new design). Hopefully the design issue was solved.

    Thanks for the input.
