lol holy shit balls!!! that shit is awesome!!! matt said they are wide but idk it would be like that wow. i could light up all 8 lanes on the blvd in phila lol. i talked to jb at black flame customs today and we decided to go with a velvety looking textured black and then he is going to play around with the sheens on the rest of the housing and bury leds possibly behind the shroud or maybe even a ccfl ring. i told him to surprise me with it lol. i din't want some corona ring thing though just smoked out and subtle. dude i'm stoked to get these.

 

wow now i can look forward to blinding unsuspecting motorist that are side too lol!

hey viet do you know of anyone on tw that has done a retro with them?i can't even find anything on hid planet nothing directly regarding the 460 projector any way, and certainly nothing for a tacoma.

 

i got back to jb last night and while cruising hid planet i came across a headlight design by lightwerks and sent him a photo. told kim something similar to this or he could use ccfl ring bossibly behind the shroud or covered by a smoked ring, just so that it is subtle. and i might even have him up grade the turn signal and parking lights with leds. i'm still on the fence about that last one i always worry about them going out and if one is out they look retarded lol any thoughts on this would help out. thanks

 

here is the update, i just went back and forth with jb from black flame customs in long island and he sent over some pics of the finished product so as promised here they are for your viewing pleasure LS 460 projectors with the clear STI lens upgrade black metallic wrinkle paint and led running lights all done by JB at black flame.

lol i think its the format jb sent them over in they are high quality photos but when i saved them to my iphoto they got all weird.

 

how much did they charge you for that?

nice since the guy is in long island i should have them probably by end of day tomorrow. i like them i was not going to get any leds or anything at first but after looking around on his website he has done some really cool stuff with them so i figured why not. i can't wait to see what the lights look like at night cut offs and all these 460's are supposed to be the BOMB!

 

That looks awesome man looks like a very professional job!!! I can't wait to see them on your truck...Im retrofitting my headlights next summer as its winter here and waaayyyy too cold to do this now!!! Think I'm going the fx-r route just cant decide whether to paint the reflector bowl or leave it the factory chrome...so many decisions...once again though looks awesome looking forward to some output pics!!!

 

i did not have the balls to do the fxr myself lol and def not the 460's there is like cutting involved and stuff lol. i gave it to a pro. fxr projectors are def a good choice but i don't think that the 460's where that much more . matt at trs told me these where the best projectors they sold so. i have the morimoto minis now and they are pretty nice and he said these would appear twice as bright and that the light they threw down to the sides was supposed to be crazy. the STI clear lenses probably help alot too.
