LS 460 RETROFIT BEING DONE AS I WRITE THIS!!!!!!

STI lenses replaced the factory fresnel lenses or cloudy projector lens. clear lenses produce beautiful color flicker and a very sharp and colorful cut off line. and yeah it was around 1200 bucks all said and done. now jb apparently switched around the leds a bit lol i'm waiting for the new pictures myself.

 

lol the fxr's are bad ass as well did you buy your stuff from trs? if you did matt or nate probably included the clear lenses for you they did for me. next time you ride in a car or truck that has a factory xenon setup you will notice the difference. the projectors you have will blow them away! the minis i have now destroy what i had in my bmw Z4 lol! i have heard some really good things about the fxr's they beam light down the road like 300 yards haha just aim them right or you will probably melt some poor bastards eyes out.

 

Nope. We have had a couple start them but haven't heard of finishing them.

And to be honest, those LEDs look kinda out of place

i kinda thought the same thing when i saw them. i have to see what they look like on the truck if i don't like them i won't hook them up i guess.

 

yeah the ls 430 projectors have the same reflector as or very similar to the 460 they both have an artificially wide beam. that guys highlander looks crazy that shit goes all the way across the front yard of that guys house

 

i'm waiting by the door for the frigging ups guy to show up with my lights. he had better hurry up!

 

i HATE UPS!!!!!!! first off they killed the first set of 460's that jb sent they broke off the grill tab on the passenger side and knocked the sheilds off both the projectors!! plus they broke the two mounting screws that hold the reflector bowl in place and basically support the whole thing lol! obviously when i mounted them they looked like shit . so i sent them back jb then proceeded over the last week to reinforce the mounting of the reflector bowl with metal bracketsbasically redid the whole thing then double boxed the whole thing with hd bubble wrap and peanuts. the light have been out for delivery and are slated to arrive some time today so now the waiting game. heres to hoping that they don't arrive all jacked up again.

 

Please post output pics when you get em in and please dont have them misadjusted super high like the ass in the video who had them 2 feet too high, blinding all those oncoming drivers.

so stunt man i just went out and looked at wife's Audi A4 and the projector is frosted looking. thats what i would swap out with a clear version? I put the car up to garage door and noticed a fussy line across the pattern. Is this swap something easily done or not. I was so interested i ran out 1/2 hr ago and like where your at its 22 degrees here by philly airport

 

here you go. photos of the LS 460 setup. the lights where done by jb at BLACKFLAMECUSTOMS.COM he used an amp style connector for the lights as well as the ballasts the whole setup goes like this 6000k morimoto leds running along the lens 5000k morimoto amp style bulbs morimoto 35watt amp ballasts. all of the hardware was supplied by the retrofit source and all of the work was performed by jb at black flame. the was a few glitches in the process, but they are on now and they are a high quality addition to my truck they throw huge amounts of light on the road ahead of me and to the sides. enjoy the pictures and drop some feed back on the lights the pictures do them no justice at all both the projectors and the leds look amazing in person even if your not into that sort of thing.

 

idk how involved it would be on an audi a4 do you know if the car is equiped with adaptive front lights or do they auto level as this could probably complicate things some. if professional work is needed jb at black flame customs is the man! my 460 retro is crazy the projectors are huge and very hard to retrofit the right way i'm sure he could help you out. tell him i reffered you he will lol. keep me posted fresnel lenses suck excuse the pun, but clear lenses and fresnel lenses are a night and day difference! its money worth spent. you can never have enough quality lighting on the road ahead of you.

 

it a freaking blizzard out side tonight so the output pics may have to wait but this is what i have so far. its not on level ground so don't flame me for having them all high lol. and this is about 5 feet away from the side of the house i really will try to get to flat ground soon and take some better ones for you guys.
