I know people have swapped before, I was just wondering about the parts. Does anyone know what you would need for the swap and what would work with it stock?

Try looking on the xrunner forums.. Ive seen a couple in those trucks.. but as for parts; custom motor mounts, custom trans mount, different radiator, custom headers and exhaust, stand alone ECU (simplest way to do an ls swap), possibly custom length drive shaft.. im sure theres a way to use stock speedometer.. figuring out how to stiffen frame up some more wouldnt be a bad idea.. even with a used motor and trans in good shape with low-ish miles(50-80k) your still looking at 3-4k if its a truck motor, plus the custom built parts.. camaro, corvette, gto will cost a bit more.. I paid $2500 for a 6.0 ls motor from LKQ with 80k on it back in 2010, but that was to swap out a 5.3 for more power... Unless you have the money to throw I would just supercharge for the hp out put of a stock ls.
