Alright, wrap is coming off tomorrow. What color should I get this thing painted in? Thinking of something similar to Lexus’s earth color. The FDE/Desert Tan color.

for real. The gray was cool at first but it’s super basic

blue would, but blue is pricey!

Nori green is beautiful. But very expensive. All Lexus paint is.

Exhaust bezel from DirtSkum got here today. Gonna trim that tube tomorrow with an angle grinder slowly, then install it on there.

Also got some protective heat sleeve to put around the transmission cooler lines. Where the fender exit is, it gets way too close for comfort.

    Worm,
You keep forgetting where he lives! He’s in the F-ing hot Arizona desert where last year on October 1st. 2024 It was a 110 degrees. Also know that AZ temperature is taken in the shade in a white wooden box that doesn’t retain heat. So when you hear it was 119 degrees here turn your oven on 119 degrees let it heat up open the oven door and stick your head inside now tell yourself you are in the shade! Now on chilly Canadian days I bet you can’t wait to stand in the sun to warm up. Here is just the opposite!
Now remember this was October 1st not July 1st!
The truck was white from the factory so I would paint it white again. The problem with raps in AZ is they only last for a maximum of 3 years on hoods and roofs here in Arizona!
The day I picked up the 05 I have from the paint shop.

This photo is with the tongue jack extended, so no weight on the raptor, but this thing fits perfect on the new trailer. When the weight is on the raptor, it Sags a good inch or inch and a half. Deavers are not ideal for the ~7500-8000lbs this combo weighs lmfao. But damn it looks good hauling it. Need to build a box for the new ramps. The trailer doesn’t have a spot to store them, shockingly.

My vote would be that ford color, the lighter gray.
    I think it’s called Avalanche?
I’ve seen one taco with it, looks nice.

its just money. If it’s just going to be an off road truck, I’d like to see it orange to attract additional attention.

Welp. The truck is mostly maaco white again. The wrap peeled off the paint in a lot of spots. But also, I can’t get the wrap off the roof/top of bedsides/ window sills(anything that faces the sun directly).

we took a torch to the wrap which helped a bunch, but some spots still won’t come off. Loaded it up to tow it to the car wash to try and pressure wash it, and it didn’t do shit. Would probably work with a steam pressure washer at like 5000psi, but I think at this point, I’m just going to hit it with an orbital with 60 grit and get it all off. IMG_3380.jpg

It was 3M, put on maybe 2.5-3 years ago. Installed by a pro at a pro shop. They knew what they were doing to make this stuff stick. That plus the AZ sun baking it in.

That's good stuff. I've had mine on for about 5 years now and I'm in texas. I'm curious what mine will be like when I decide to tear it down. I used Avery.
