I have some in the grille but it wouldn’t hurt to add the side ones on the fenders

454 Motorsports is getting it done! Spindles all gusseted from DRT, also got the JD fab double sheared steering tabs for the heimed steering system and slide rack.

New rack and pinion in + the new steering slide rack from JD fab! Once everything is set in stone, nylon rack bushings will be installed.

454 Motorsports is making me a front bumper, skid and valence. His bumpers are rad.

Any reason you didn’t go with the JD fab pivot kit?

I’m interested to see these bumpers

When I first looked at it I didn’t think much of it, in hindsight it would’ve saved me time and money probably. And by me, I mean 454 Motorsports, they’re doing the install. Trucks already apart at the shop being worked on, and he’s gusseting the pivots. Speaking of which, here’s a pic of the finished pivot, still have to do the back side of the pivot but here’s the front:

Here’s a pic of a third gen bumper he did. I’m going to get something similar with the addition of all my lights.

Probably didn’t need to do this to clear my tires anymore since the kit pushed the spindle forward. I had DRT do a CMC right when I bought the truck, but I wanted to do it the right way so 454 did a full CMR from DRT.

Tomorrow the last bit of hardware for the LCA pivots gets here, then suspension goes in and it gets cycled.

After that, front fiberglass goes on, stuff gets tubbed and clearance’d, rear fiberglass gets braced, and lastly the front bumper gets built and put on.

Words can’t describe how excited I am.

This is hot. One problem, the way my inner fenders are, i'm pulling 14 and 5/16's of an inch of travel, stopped because the uppers hit the inner fenders. So, 454 is working out a plan, but the way it looks, he's probably going to end up cutting out the inner fenders. Fuck it. I don't want to sacrifice what might be almost an inch of bump travel and regret it later. Should pull close to 15-15.5" strapped once it's done.

With the amount of cutting needed to clearance the 35’s at full bump, we’re just going to clearance it for 37’s at full bump. When I shred these tires I’ll do 37’s.

    the plan is as follows:

Everything front suspension wise is going to get done this appointment, meaning the inner fenders are going to get cut that way we can bump and strap the suspension for 37’s, front glass is going to get rough mounted, and rear glass is going to get braced. We made an appointment for July to finish tubbing the firewall, making new inner fenders, and building the custom front bumper.

In the mean time, I’m going to get the motor in and hopefully have the truck running and driving. Really pumped on this.

    Yeah, the 37”s fit nicely.

Have you looked into the JD fab inner fenders? Not a fan boy by any means, I have total chaos factory length uppers and lower, but JD fab has come up with a lot of solutions to Tacoma problems.
