I didn’t put those bars in my truck. It’s a requirement for race organizations but if you dont plan on racing it will be fine without them….IMO.

You mind posting what bars interfere with the door cards when you get a chance ?

I don't plan to run those on my truck either. Pretty overkill for a prerunner imo

I think they look kinda cool. They’re knee knockers for sure tho getting in and out of the truck.

Sorry I mean the rear doors — didn’t some hit those too?
Those ones hit the front door?

Oh gotcha. Yeah those bars hit the front doors on the edge of the window switch.

This is where the cupholder in the door cars hits the cage in the rear

    @Dm93 @caribe makaira

so I found my TPMS receiver floating around unplugged, and found this connector that fits it, but it’s 3 wires and there’s 5 pins coming out of the receiver. Wire colors are blue brown and white/black

Well I cut the door bars out and put the dash back in:
    IMG_4629.jpg

Door cards took some casualties since the cage was interfering with them. I’m gonna 3d print some inserts with a radius in them for the cage. IMG_4630.jpg IMG_4631.jpg IMG_4632.jpg IMG_4633.jpg IMG_4635.jpg IMG_4636.jpg IMG_4637.jpg IMG_4638.jpg

Also, this is how much shit came out of the truck and won’t be going back in:IMG_4639.jpg

gonna dump all this shit in the trash unless someone picks it up by Thursday.

Haha can’t wait to send my buddy home with that pile and make him toss it. He’s coming up this weekend to discuss progress and ideas and then I’ll be able to finalize the cab cage and move on.

Probably a good ~100lbs of shit there, but these cage weighs 550lbs

The next free weekend I get I’ll be towing the truck up there. Need to get it aligned first though. I wanna go turn some tubes with you

I seriously wanna go get some corner scales and weigh the truck. I bet you it’s every bit of 6000lbs or maybe a couple hundred more. My front end sits noticeably lower than it did pre cage.

Is the driver seat belt in good shape? How much do you want for it? Send me the part number so I could check if it would work on my ‘06 double cab.
    Thanks.
