Im hoping so. There couldn't have been a worse time for it to blow. Literally a week before it blew I dropped all the allotted "fun" Cash I had on BTF long travel goodies, as well as the Lexus still isn't as reliable as id like it to daily drive it, but oh well. My garage floor is getting a polyaspartic coating at the end of the month so im shooting to have the motor and trans mounted in the truck before then. One less thing to drag into my living room. Lol.

Do you have instagram? Can you shoot me a DM, I have some questions for you. @nebula1RC

Motor is mounted and that’s about it. I’m doing a one ton swap as well so I tend to jump around the truck a lot. Hoping to have it driving by this time next year

Deatchworks 340LPH @40PSI fuel pump going in.

LSX innovations motor mounts with custom steel arms finally arrived.

Fuel tank dropped for the DW pump.

4L60E has been converted to 4WD, finally.
    IMG_0292.jpg
ICT Billet upper ac compressor relocation kit installed. Compressor installed too, but not pictured.
    IMG_0284.jpg

Gonna start putting the motor in Monday and welding up the mounts. Then it's gotta come back out just so I can finish buttoning some stuff up, get the accessory belt situation figured out etc.

Also just to share my experience, I bought the fuel pump from URD. Really didn't have a good experience with them. I originally ordered a higher output aeromotive fuel pump, which was in stock, then got an email questioning me why I even needed an aeromotive pump, and that they didn't have one. Who cares? Let someone spend money with you if they're trying. Also got some words about my my CC I used, I recently moved and hadn't updated my address with the bank yet, so on their site when I checked out, they gave me the option to ship to a different address other than my billing address. Perfect. Well got another email about how neither of my addresses checked out, but if that were the case my card wouldn't have been approved, so not sure what's going on there. Regardless, they said either we ship to the billing address or we cancel the order. Whatever. IMO they shouldn't give the option to ship to an address other than billing if they won't do it. I had to call Fedex to intercept the package and have it delivered to a Fedex store instead of my old address. They could learn a thing or two about customer service, but maybe thats just me. I'm sure people have fine experiences with them. But this was mine, probably won't use them again in the future if I don't have to.

Scored a full DMZ Rear spring under kit with dealers, bed cage, shackles, tabs, limit straps, everything I need to get the rear converted to full LT.

Ugh. Ive been convinced to do heads cam on this motor before I throw it in. Not all bad though, I'm going to tow the truck to 454 Motorsports and have them install the rear LT kit and spring under and everything, that way I'm not guessing pinion angles and driveshaft angles putting the new motor and transmission in. Gives me some time too. And I can sell my old rear suspension set up to give me more cash to play with in the mean time.

Looking at doing the same this winter with an LQ4/4L80e. So I'll be following along to see how the swap goes.

I got distracted from the tacos for a bit. started doing Lexus things again. then a Ferrari f355 crashed into it, so now that car is down and i'm back to working on the tacoma out of necessity. Motor mounts are chopped off and frame flattened. Gonna float the motor and transmission in tonight and get the new mounts burned in.

Going to fill the torque converter with fluid tonight, hopefully get the trans mated up to the engine. Thursday a friend and I are going to be floating the motor into the truck and getting the motor mounts welded up. I need to figure out what I'm doing about the clutch pedal and the master cylinder. IDK if it's safe to just plug the one line going to the clutch slave. Maybe I need to buy a master cylinder from an auto truck and swap it. Also gotta figure out what parts im keeping from the stock harness and what im not. Ugh. So. Much. Work.

I keep trying to post photos and they're not coming through. I got the torque converter installed, as well as the trans mated to the motor. Got everything dropped into the truck to tack weld the motor mounts. Got them about an inch away from where it needs to be, then my rear sump factory truck oil pan hit my front diff. Just ordered a shallower front sump with a filter relocation to try and squeeze is back in there.... Waiting waiting waiting.

I got quite a bit of things ordered for the truck. I got the FJ front diff tube to delete ADD since I have a manual case now. Also got an auto transmission master cylinder. RIP third pedal.

Photos still wont attach. Why wont this forum add native support for uploading photos directly to the post, instead of having to add them to media or upload them online and use a URL. So frustrating.

It does support uploading pics. Hit “upload a file” button next to “post reply” and select a pic from your phone’s library or take one. Works fine for my iPhone. My phone is the only way I ever use this forum

Off she goes! Over to 454 Motorsports for the full DMZ SUA kit and cage install, as well as their frame boxing kit, 16" king double bypasses, 4" King bump stops. Should be great. Oh wait, the truck doesn't run.

Oh that’s going to rad to see once done! How’s the LS going? Did you get a new oil pan for it? Going to run AN fittings and hose for the fuel/ transmission lines?

LS is going. Need a transmission brace now. Then it's in for good. Running AN lines for my oil filter, but thats it. Using stock fuel lines. Haven't figured out trans yet. I have a small cooler with regular hose, but we'll see what I do. I haven't decided if im going to do the rear mount radiator or not yet.
