    Soooooo

I've decided that the soft lines for the rear radiator need to go. Im going to tow the truck over to Royal, the guys who built the motor mounts for me. They're going to make me some hard lines that tuck into the frame rail on the passenger side. Said it'll only take them a day, which sounds way better than me trying to deal with the soft lines. They're going to be able to get started next week, so in the mean time I'm going to finish doing everything I can on my list. Most of the super time consuming stuff is done though.

Anyone have any ideas on the transfercase shifter? its easy to access by climbing under the truck, but eventually I want to not have to do that, lol.

Definitely, just a lot more expensive. Oh well, it'll be worth it.

It'll pay unseen dividends by causing far fewer problems. Yeah. Definitely worth it.

NP261HD with the correct spline for the 4L75E. Vermont Transmission can get you squared away. Super fair prices for rebuilt units to whatever spec you want

Oil pressure sender was loose, crush washer wasn’t even crushed. Installed. A new one and torqued to spec. Hopefully that fixes one of the leaks.

truck is going to 454 to have the front bedside supports made, shouldn’t take long at all.

spent a few hours tonight messing up and tesa taping the factory headlight harnesses. After getting the headlights wired up, noticed my low beam isn’t coming on on the driver side. I’m missing like 4 tabs between the two headlights so I bought new OEM style ones. That’ll help stiffen up the front end quite a bit.

got the switch pros all wired up now, tomorrow I’m going to try and get all the Baja designs stuff wired up and operational.

    laundry list is getting smaller!

Can someone with a stock 4.0 and a stock front end send me a picture of how their condenser is mounted?

    yeah,
I’m trying to see if I have enough room to mount it between the intake and the condenser. I think I will. Just sucks it won’t have airflow unless I’m moving.

Yeah I guess it won’t need a ton of air, and I can put it on the front side. Could just wire it up with the AC clutch wire.

A/C has to be crucial in Scottsdale this time of year! I couldn't imagine living in the area without it lol

Automotive Hoses came by and made me a new pressure line for the power steering, now no more leaks!

    IMG_5762.jpg

Drove the truck over to Royal to have the coolant hard lines made, first trip on the interstate. Everything was fine until the end int the parking lot. Went full lock backing up and popped an axle.

    IMG_5763.jpg

Hoping it’s as simple and putting it back in and rebooting. Not sure why it popped because everything cycled correctly.

    Eeew. Sorry to hear.

Should be an easy enough fix for you. Including some steering stops too I guess.

The thing is I still have the OEM steering stops, maybe because of having such different geometry with the steering system. Once I have the truck back again I’m gonna jack it up and go lock to lock and see what’s going on.
