Let me know how that cooler does. I'll wait before I order. I wonder how the truck will do in winter, it might not want to heat up. Future problem

My Holley controls the fans on the transmission cooler dynamically so when it’s below 165 they’re off, above 170 they turn on.

Do you have a pic of ID2? I don’t think I’ve touched that one yet so I don’t know what I’m looking for. image.jpg

Lockable tailgate handle with camera installed. Just wired it all up. Gonna pull the reverse signal from the Holley over to that pin @Dm93 mentioned if he can send me a pic of that connector. I unfortunately do not know what I’m looking for.

edit, I found it, but when I wired it up, nothing happens. I think I need a relay in line. Is there a good 12v source from ID1?

double edit, I pulled a source from my engine bay. Disregard.

I think the Holley trigger isn’t acting as it’s supposed to because reverse lamps still aren’t coming on.

L86 here with spec 0w20. Definitely lower pressure at idle (I think around 25-30 when warm), but cruising/driving PSI is what matters much more. I think that as long as you very roughly see pressure building about 10psi for every 1k RPM you can chill. Definitely a good thing to keep an eye on oil pressure with these motors!

verify that its a powered source, most ecu's are going to ground the output in order to trigger but it normally is adustable in the software, no idea what holley actually allows.

Funny enough, this system I’m using was marketed as a terminator, before terminator came out, but it’s actually a dominator ECU. Dominators have two ground triggered outputs, im using those for my rad fans, then it has two powered outputs, one for trans cooler and one for reverse lights. It can be configured to have more too if needed

More thinking about how it won't use the engine heat to warm up like the stock combo rad. It gets really cold here in winter

also make sure your temps are above your thermostat temp or your fans will just always be on. My fans are set at 190 and 195.

    Expansion tank installed.

if you guys are running a Holley, I HIGHLY recommend talking to Andrew over at ProjectGattaGo, he’s been tuning my truck and the dude is a wizard. Knows how to fix every problem under the sun. He figured out why my reverse lights weren’t operating. Had to switch some pins around. Now my reverse lights come on like factory, and my backup camera! This girl has wide hips and it’s nice to have.

ALSOOOOO, replaced the 18” magnaflow with a 24” magnaflow and a 10” resonator, and got my exhaust valve welded in. Less drone, little quieter, until I open the valve. Then it’s pure 6.3L of greatness.

    https://youtu.be/_i4ZeK_GWtU

    check it out.

I did develop a leak though. The transfer case is dropping exactly 1 drop per like 12 hours. The output shaft seal for the front driveshaft is seeping a little. The guys that sold me it are sending me a new seal. It’s a seal bearing thing built into one.

new trans cooler will be here tomorrow and Amazon is accepting a return on my old one so we’re good there.

Didn’t get to do my fuel level senders today, but they’re both here ready to go. It’s dark and I’d rather do it on a lift.

and finally, my new bus bar / relay holder gets here tomorrow so I can make the bed not look atrocious anymore.

theoretically, this thing will be 100% good to go. Minus my headlight being broken. lol.
I beat the truck hard again today and it didn’t break any worse than it was, so we’re good to go? Lmao

I think they come in at 190 and 195 and then off at 185,190. My thermostat doesn’t even really circulate thru my radiator till almost 190

    If you’re asking me? I’m using Mobil 1 5w/30

You really need to go to the Dunes W. of Yuma or Glamis, CA.
Drop the tire pressure a lot and see how she does in the Dunes…
There’s a driving technique / style that needs to be used in the Dunes.
Running the bows is so much fun! When I had my Jerry Hall built 500 Quadzilla I was forced many times to lead group rides.
I could really have fun leading younger drivers and riders who like to go fast!
Your only enemies in the dunes or other riders / drivers or witches eyes!
