If ya want something done right, you gotta do it yourself, or know of someone very, very reputable.

I've had a lapse in following this thread but since this is a permanent install with the Arduino and op-amp (could latch-up under overvoltage spike) for the AC there is risk of both frying or latching up from electrical noise and load dump. Adding some PTC fuses in series with power and IO's is a good idea as well as some TVS (unidir zener will also clamp reverse polarity) devices across the lines to keep all the voltages clamped to a safe level. ON the IO's teh PTCs can potentially be omitted if teh TVS is after the resistors, which will limit current. The PTC fuses will ensure that you could have (in theory) a overvoltage or short indefinitely without frying anything. Noise can set microcontrollers into unknown states as well. It is good practice to use a watch-dog timer (i believe the atmel on the ard mega has one). For teh Arduino, this may need some inline C code if teh Arduino libraries do not expose this function. The WDT will reset the micro if it gets hung up.

This is a good tech reference on this. You can ignore teh fancy active stuff in the article. How to Choose the Right Protection for Your Circuit | Analog Devices

I understand the PTC fuses but you lost me with the watch dog stuff. I remember when I was in FRC in high school, we had code issues sometimes and the serial monitor would print “watch dog not fed!” Lol

The watch dog is basically just a timer that runs in some dedicated hardware on the chip (not in your program execution space). If the timer expires (at the interval of choice), the WDT will reset the chip and code will begin execution from the start. Feeding the dog is just resetting this timer so that the WDT does not reset the chip. This feeding is just 1 function call that is stuck in your main loop of the code.

It looks like someone wrote a lib for the WDT. Watchdog - Arduino Reference

The extension is used to reach the pedal.

Nope, it’s the piece that extendeds the brake pedal clevis to the brake pedal itself.

Fluids went in the truck today, no modifications were necessary to the coolant hard lines. Bleeding this truck sucks though.

I reached out to PPE engineering, they’re the most popular Lexus exhaust header and system manufacturer by far, and they happen to be local to me.

I had to have my old exhaust chopped out to get the trans out, and instead of welding that mild steel POS back in, they’re gonna make me an EL y pipe, resonated, dual mode muffler, and fender exit out of stainless for me once my truck is back and shook down.

I’ve been a long time customer of theirs. I asked him about it when I had my IS500 there.

He said they are super busy and behind schedule right now, but the second he has a slot he’s going to let me know when to drop the truck off. Shouldn’t be too far out. I got a lot to do between now and then anyhow.
