Welp I got stranded Offroad again. Battery died on me, and internal jumpstarter didn’t work. Mad.

    Yes
That zip tie on the brake line is sketch, get a single hole strap and mount it to the threaded hole on the spindle, this an old photo from my previous solo Motorsports kit but same idea.

you want the strap to not fit tight, you want the hose to be able to slide through it as the suspension moves

My brake/abs line are all “hard” mounted with zip ties like his. Been like that for years no issues. Just need to make sure there is enough slack in the right areas for suspension cycling.

    Same.
I just made sure there’s good room for lock to lock turning, and room to flex at the UCA uniball and frame pivot

I finally put my roof moldings back on the truck today after they got launched off the truck in the cinders when @snowsk8air2 taught me how to jump my truck

I also rewired the GM alternator, bypassing the Toyota charging controller, hoping it would fix my charging voltage of 13.2v, but it didn’t. It’s still the same. I’m gonna take it for a longer drive tomorrow and see if it’ll charge up higher. I might just need a bigger beefier alternator, and the current one might be going out, not entirely sure.

Also, despite the battery dying last night and leaving me stranded, the brakes never locked up on me! They really feel good now. I might do a rebleed since I got into ABS a little bit last night and maybe pushed some air out of the pump. But honestly the brakes feel good. Problem fixed for now??

I think it’s time for a trip up north!

Well, I crested Humboldt mountain again, my benchmark for testing out trans coolers. Trans only got to 203 this time! Coolers are doing their job well! Coolant got to 222 though. A little warm, but I also had the AC blasting. Everything cooled right off once I was at the top, and took that picture. Didn’t get hot at all for the rest of the trip.

    IMG_3834.jpg

The truck did suffer a casualty though….

my front turn signal bulb rattled the filament to death.

    All things considered, pretty good.

I know how much I’ve spent on this truck, and I hate to see how much it would cost to swap anything else into it, considering the LS is the “cheapest” route.

    Skid plates are good…

My homies at Lexus took on my alignment. Got it dialed in. -0.4 degrees of camber, 4.0 caster, -.01 toe. Super happy with it!

I think this thing just blew a trans. It’s under warranty but like I fucking hate this truck. I never should’ve LS swapped it.
