    Of course you can.

    Not being physically possible is only one of many reasons for something not to exist.

    cost-benefit is another reason: As in the relatively high cost for little to no benefit relative to the alternative (open diff 4x4 seems to work pretty good). And when you compare it to modern electronic traction aids (A-Trac), it's all but useless.

    supply-demand is another: there doesn't seem to be a demand for it.

    I agree, that’s why nobody makes one. Which is more or less what I started off saying. Then someone said he’d want it anyway and would pay for it. Then someone else said, that’s not possible, and here we are.

    Nobody is adding modern electronic controls to their 1st gen Tacoma either, even if they’re better than a mechanical LSD or a locker in many cases.
