Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Those might be wheel speed sensors for VSC, regardless they are not an indication of having an LSD.

Driving would tell you plenty. An open doesn't do this.

Ok try this. My neighbor has an 06 single cab 4x4, with a 4 cylinder with an LSD rear and open front. Its not magic, this is a possible setup and could be this way for the OP. It may not be popular but there are some out there.

If you have the locker you have an open rear diff until the locker is enabled.

Then he has the ALSD that comes with VSC/TRAC. Again, not a mechanical LSD.

That little build I made was in reply to this.^
The 06 tacoma my buddy has is a base model truck. With LSD the mechanical not the ALSD. His truck is not a TRD. Is it really that hard to believe that this can exhist?

I've never seen an open diff spin both tires. Your saying if you have 100% traction on 1 tire the LS will spin that tire? The name says Limited slip because when a tire begins to slip it is supposed to send some of that power to the other tire. Hence the limiting the slippage.

Yes considering Toyotas own words are that the LSD is a V6 option ONLY

His carfax says his truck has never been to a shop, as does the dealership he purchased it from. But we all know how dealerships can be. He purchased the truck with 18k miles on it. All I can say is that it is in the yard with a 4 and LSD.

The same can be said with Carfax. It has to be aftermarket.

I'm not sure what you were saying in the first paragraph? The truck in the video is mine, it is LSD. Nothing I have said is based off of the video. I'm also not trying to prove you wrong just get you to understand that it is possible to have an LSD rear in the OP's truck.

All I can say about his truck is that maybe it had the rear replace with another toyota rear end drum to drum. His dealership says it was an ordered option. As is the LSD on my truck, it doesn't have a package just somone ordered they truck with LSD.

Info is coming from Hampton Toyota and Musson Patout. The video is mine I know you can't see it. I posted the build because you said you tried to build a regular cab truck with LSD and couldn't. ALSD is still a form of LSD just different workings. I understand my truck and the op's truck are different but I was comparing to show that just because it wasn't an option online doesn't mean it wasn't possible. With the package my truck has I am supposed to have open diffs front and rear, however somone ordered just the LSD rear on my truck. The same could have been done for the OP.

100% not true. Mechanical LSD that was installed on TRD Sports, Double Cabs Long Beds, and as the option in others will work with the wheel in the air...
Mine delivers around 150 lb-foot to the wheel with other one in the air. With axle on jacks you can not turn wheels unless you use some brute force.

But it was a ranger. I am not coming down on Ford just that they are different unless you know for a fact that they are the same. My Chevelle rear is different from my Tacoma. I have never had 1 rear wheel in the air while on an incline to say it doesn't work but having a rear tire in the air in 2wd with the LSD functions just fine. Speaking about my 02 tacoma and my 07 tacoma.

Na, but the 1 time I drove through a pasture to get to a bon fire. That was tricky as hell. I had a modified lsd (clutches, springs.) It was a blast.

I count those as times you need a camera, and in my case I never had one.
