It has to do with how low the upper shock mounts are. If the mounts are higher it won’t limit the bump travel. Only way I’d go 12’s was if I was notching the frame, or if I was worried about how far the shocks hang out. But if you go bypass style 2 it’s only about 1/2” farther than a smooth body. It just seems like a lot of money to leave 2” of travel on the table. But Tim does excellent work.

makes sense; when I had him do my truck I was already set on not cutting the bed
But if I was doing this again bed cage all the way to use the full travel on the leaf pack
    Might as well
I could have just figured out a way to seal the bed again lol

    Whole lotta stuff
I've got full body 14s and it's not even that bad. I wanna switch to short bodies when it's more convenient.

It’s doable, just a lot of labor to do it right. Still probably won’t ever be as strong as bed that hasn’t had holes cut in it.

I’ve got a set of 14” short body triples on order. Gonna swap a customers soa build to under the bed sua. Should be fun to see how much lower the shock mounts end up.

He does lol. I’m in flagstaff with his springs and he’s in Scottsdale. No clue when he’s coming up to get them and he hasn’t been too active on here lately. But I’ll text him and tell him to check on here and see if you two can’t work something out

What kit? What valving? And how are you driving the truck? I like the 700’s for taller ride height and that little bit of extra support on hard hits. But it definitely took some valving changes to make it soak up the smaller stuff as well.
