Anyone have any leads on a used 1st Gen 4WD LT kit? I saw the Camburg kit in the classifieds but I’d rather get something used that includes c/o’s or LT axles. Or just save some money on a used kit and source c/o’s and axles down the road. The McM Fab kit with LT axles is $2860, so that might be the way to go if not.

 

Keep an eye on race-dezert and dezert ranger classifieds - not too many of those pop up on here anymore.

Dude says the kit uses a 15” compressed shock and most of the big names are 16”

 

I check DR regularly, but it’s pretty slow there. I’m on RDC occasionally but I’ll keep a closer eye on it. I figured there’s a lot more 1st Gen Tacos active here so my odds are a little better. Especially with hopes of someone sitting on something not listed. Worth a shot!

I may pony up for new with the short body or stroke option if it comes down to it but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. Really hoping to find something used that’s as complete as possible.

Last kit i got was a used camburg and after replacing the bushings and uniballs i wasnt too far from the price of a new un scratched kit

I just saw some 8” SAW CO’s somewhere I can’t remember. They’re all spec’d for first gen LT. Not many guys budget building here so not many first gens.

 

So youre calling us cheap!!jk

I have no problem being accused of being cheap lol. I just would rather spend $3k on a used kit with axles and c/o’s if it’s not trashed and be able to enjoy it rather than have to save a who knows how much longer to get something new. I just dropped a bunch of coin on a tube bender and accessories for a hydraulic conversion so that ate into my budget quite a bit. That McM kit is looking better and better though the more I think about it.

 

There’s a 1st gen kit on here in the 1st gen classifieds. I think it’s a Camburg kit

ive heard good things about that guy and the kit looks good and affordable
Only issue if theres one is the uca uniball adapter, its a different design compared others, this one uses 2 missalignments and the spindle adapter rather than the machined adapter and only 1 spacer
