Ah so it wasn't like the fabbed parts were just sitting waiting for the springs to show up. FWIW @Tacomoto23's installed the DMZ and Camburg kit - he may be able to give insight as to whether / how much easier the Camburg kit is to install.

It’s the same amount of work to install either kit. One gets welded, the other you have to drill holes and bolt it on. The only appealing thing about that is camburg is easier to remove if you ever go to links later. Talking with Tim at dmz about it when I was installing my kit he laughed because he could have some holes cut into his kit, call it “bolt on” and charge a couple hundred more

It bolts to the stock rivet holes where the stock hangers are riveted. I already have the rivets out and have aftermarket stock geometry hangers. So for me it is as easy as unbolt one hanger and bolt the new one in. It is "self locating" which saves some of the back and forth of measuring and checking geometry from side to side. Plus the prep to weld, not to mention being able to powdercoat the hangers fully vs paint them after being installed. There are some definite benefits depending on how you look at it and the situation you are in.

Too bad the Camburg kit can't locate itself to Utah... :spy:

I know he first had the burg kit and wanted to somehow use Tim's predone bedcage for the long bed. At some point while talking to Tim he decided to remove the Burg kit that he had enough done to install the leafs and drive around with mock shocks. He later sold the burg kit and still rocks the dmz one as a guy in my area in VA bought his old burg kit.

Weld on is faster than having to completely clear out those awful rivets. Plus you can tack them and get the hangers completely plum and aligned between front and rear.
You’re at your frame’s mercy with the bolt-on.

Real question is where are you? I've got a mixed bag of 33s that need to go soon, but they are located in Philadelphia, and shipping used tires is going to kill any deal.

It’s not the same amount of work. Getting those frame rivets pushed all the way through is a bitch and extremely time consuming. Definitely way easier to remove and sell later though

Sounds like you took half the battle out of he way. With either kit you’ll have to do some welding and take the time to prep. If you aren’t confident on welding the hangers to your frame, I’d say that’s where bolt on is a bit nicer. You still need to weld those perches on as well. Don’t forget, you’ll want to box in the rear of the frame some way too so you’ll have to work around the Bolts.

At the time I installed the Camburg kit, I wish I had a daily cause I would have just parked the truck and built a bedcage myself. Learned how to cycle the leafs, mount shocks and bumps. Tim never got back to me until after I installed the kit and then wanted to use my truck to prototype that standard bed bedcage.
