Lubegard AT Additives

Thanks gearcruncher....so if I drain out 4 quarts, how much Lubequard should I add in with the ATF fluid?

 

According to their directions , add 1 ounce per quart

 

...just wanted to add....while motor is running...per their instructions. @dawgn86

Add one oz per qt while motor is running probably for traditional trans with a dipstick tube. Dunno that id wanna be under the truck right next to the exhaust on the fill plug side of our AT's. FYI we are looking at 11ish qts of Toyota WS in our trans. so 11oz total.

Well that’s what everybody does when they put it in temp check mode and look for a trickle when the engine is running.

 

Its a little tough to add lubeguard when performing a flush .
When you perform a flush , you are using new fluid to push out the old fluid ( Mixing ) and when the fluid becomes nice and red again , its safe to say you managed to get all the old fluid out . This usually takes more than 15 quarts even though the A750E series transmission holds about 11 quarts
In a case such as this , I would be adding the lubeguard at the very end of your flushing sequence to guarantee you get all the lubeguard in the transmission .
This is why I always recommend the 15 ounce bottle

I did a flush about 25k ago and want to do a drain and fill on my A750E and add some lubegard. What would be the best way to do this? Mix 11 Oz with some ATF as I refill the pan and then start it up and let it cycle through the transmission?

 

Fill plug for the trans is on the side between the trans and exhaust.... check plug is much more easily accessed on the bottom of the pan.

 

Ive done it twice, I know what’s involved.

 

Uh it's actually very easy to do with a funnel and tubing.
