    Looks like it'll be worth investing and testing then. Might have to wait till I address my suspension and transmission.

    I'm surprised you haven't done it yet actually

    I mentioned in one of the threads about doing another "how to" of the trans-go kit. I was mistaken though- I meant the sonnax zip kit. Not a shift kit or pressure changer at all- it just fixes the common wear/tear spots. Being my trans is +200k miles it couldn't hurt to freshen it up some. Pending the miles on yours...and if you're in there anyways...

    The pandemic took aways lots of my free time so with it trending down a bit I can address certain things i wanted to do earlier. Still not on the timeline I want but better.. Are you able to use the ratiotek and the sonnax kit together? I would've preferred going with IPT but I don't want to be out of my truck for a week or two, so I haven't done much research on it/them. The biggest push is that I'm perhaps experiencing a shift flare. its a new onset following a new tune. only did it when it was really cold during warm up under light-med load. wot has no slip.

    The ratiotek being ~4 springs, changing a couple settings and boring 3 small holes,
    The sonnax looks like it's none of those things and doesn't change any settings per say. It just fixes known wear/tear issues.
    I would say with almost certainty that they are compatible with each other.

    So in the research that I have done with both the ratiotek and the sonnax is that they are mostly compatible. The only issue I see is with the boost valve where the spring with the ratiotec will sit higher in the sonnax boost valve, causing a probable bind/ compressing more than it designed to. The solution seems to be to run the OEM booster and everything else will be fine. At least according to my brief research. I've only modified 3 of these transmissions so not an expert by any means but good enough to get by i guess. lol

    yes I normally check and with this, I take my time. I would say you'll use 95% of the sonnax kit. I had found this last night. helpful post.
