Lucas Oil for Lifter Tick

Technically the bucket shims, are called "lifters." I don't like that designation as it causes confusion. Bucket shims is defineably more accurate, for conversation.

It is extremely labor intensive to "adjust" the lash. If wear has loosened the tolerance.

 

Add down time to this . Measuring the gap then figuring out the shim you need for each piston then going to the dealer and getting raped for a handful of shims that look like quarters .

 

No quarters on these. Just a whole new bucket. Still the same downtime though, for sure. Yuck.
