Anybody running Lucas oil Dino in their differentials? Any problems with it? It was reasonably priced so I went with it. It also says "great for LSD" so do I still need a friction modifier additive? I have 07 TRD Sport. I got 80w-90 which is what my manual calls for. What do you guys think?

Lots of guys running everything, Lucas included. You still need the LSD friction modifier. :)

I'm running Lucas in my manual transmission and it's been a big improvement over stock.
I put Valvoline in my diffs but I don't have limited slips.

I usually buy what's on sale, but I change it often. Pretty easy to do on a Tacoma.

I have seen this document, what I got from it was you need to mix all theses oils (except the ones that fail tests) into one and then you might get a good oil.

I'm all for longevity, in the end, changing the oil and looking in the pumpkin as part of your servicing is the only real way to tell if the oil is doing the right job for you. unlike engine oils, the detergents and such are not as heavy and as widely used with gear oil. It seems more of an after thought.

I can't tell you how many people have no clue about transmission oil and differential maintenance, sure as shit they can tell you engine oil type and change intervals when asked, nothing about the running gear.

Personally, if I were looking for the best one out of this test I would need a few hours and lots of paper and pens.
just don't use any of the oils that failed any test.

I need to do mine, probably going to go with Toyota or what ever we have at the shop.
