I had tried searching for an answer to this without much luck, but I just bought a set of 16” aluminum wheels that were took off a 2018 Tacoma to replace my steel wheels on my 2008 Tacoma. Do I need to get different lug nuts for the new wheels or will the original lug nuts work? Thanks in advance for the help. I just wanted to order new ones before I went to get my tires swapped over . I attached a pic of the new wheels.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
U need mag-shank as opposed to the acorn style used on steelies.

Shank type. Either length will work...as they have the same thread engagement. The shorter one usually looks better with wheels with shallow lug wells. You'll have to determine that. You'll also notice that the end of the nut is tapered to accommodate your steel spare wheel.

But my experience says, always go with the shorter one when in doubt.
