    Hello friends,

I recently bought used trd 17” wheels, not sure what year they are but was told they are somewhere between 2003-2009. I tried putting them on my 2024 Tacoma sr but the lug nuts are too small to thread onto the prongs and my stock lug nuts from my old wheel don’t go in flush into the bolts for the lug nuts so they aren’t able to thread in all the way.

I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of lug nuts will fit on my 2024 prongs with these older model trd rims. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

Pretty sure the 2024 Tacoma went to an M14x1.5 lug nut size.
All the previous gens were M12

I think the center bore also changed as well. Like 106mm to 96mm on the 4th gens. Correct me if I am wrong.

    I believe you are correct.
I think @Discount Tire posted the specs at one time.

@Kai94 the wheels you have were designed for m12 "prongs" ...studs and lug nuts. The truck you have has "prongs"...studs that are m14. The stock lug nuts will not fit the older wheels because...
    1. The design of the nut is not made to fit the wheel.
    2. They are not the correct bolt thread size.

If the wheels are going to fit this truck. You may need different m14 lug nuts. You might not find any... That fit this wheel.

You may need a center hug ring spacer from 106mm to 96mm. Which you will find Amazon for cheap.

    The wheels won’t work.

There are some other threads about this, here or on tacoma4g.com. What I recall is that someone found some 3rd party lug nuts that would fit. Other option was to drill out the holes for the larger lug nuts. A center hole space was also required.

You’re still up against the smaller Center bore and drastically different offset of the wheels
