Thanks for the info. I kind of though that was the case, but then read these posts and thought well they could also apply.

You only need the extended thread ones if you have a thicker wheel face at the mounting point. They are for when you have a lug stud length issue due to thickness.

Since this thread isn’t too dead, thought I’d run this question past you all.

Picked up some Trail Ready beadlocks for dirt cheap today. The issue I have is that the lugnuts sit about 2” deep into the face of the hub of the wheel. I’m hoping the gorilla spline lugs and the socket will fit into the holes machined for each bolt. Can anyone tell me the outer diameter of the socket that they have from Gorilla? I can’t seem to find that spec online... The hole per stud is ~1 1/4” in diameter, and I’d like to ensure it fits.

Thanks a bunch! That should fit nicely, it’s a shame the stock lugs were just barely too wide to fit in there. I do need spline lugs anyway in order to fit a socket down in there.

In general, splined lug nut keys are no wider than the seat of the nut... so if it fits in the hole the key will too. Mind you that's with quality parts, I have zero experience with off brand or ebay specials.

Well that’s good to know, the Gorillas should be perfect at .8” wide. And no, I’m not chancing my wheels coming off because of some cheap lugnuts failing, I’m not running spacers on factory wheels for that exact reason. Not that spacers are necessarily bad, just more that it’s another component to fail. Plus I wheel pretty hard, so bad combo. If my truck was a pavement princess I wouldn’t have this issue.
