Lug nuts

Hey I just wanna make sure I’m ordering the right lug nuts, I called my closet dealer and they didn’t have a clue and the part number I have they said are on backorder for months but anyways, I got a set of 2017? trd sport rims and the lug nuts I’m going to order are PT076-60200-02. They are black. Will these work on my 2nd gen?

 

Those look like they should work. Lug nuts are all the same for 2nd and 3rd gen OEM wheels.

 

Ok only difference I believe I can tell between the chrome lugs I have on now with my stock trd sport ‘14 rims look to be 1.87” and those black ones are 1.5”. So they will be fine with those new 3rd gen wheels?

The lug nuts for the steel wheels are NOT the same as the ones for the Alloy wheels.

The lug nuts in your picture above are for the alloy wheels. Which came on the Sport and TRD trucks.
If your current wheels are the OE Stock wheels, those lug nuts should work as well as the ones in the picture above.

The type lug nut for the Alloy wheels are commonly referred to as Mag Seat.
@Plain Jane Taco may know a better source to get them then at the dealership.

 

Those will be just fine. And don't worry about the length. Some of Toyota's older wheels had deep lug wells and Toyota used a longer nut strickly for aesthetics. The thread engagement between the two lengths is the same. Anymore, Toyota uses the shorter nut on most wheels as the lug well is shallow on most of their current wheels. When in doubt....get the short ones.

Toyota's alloy wheel lug nuts are often call "shank type". It's important to use them has the washer helps distribute the load evenly across the wheel hat. Toyota wheels are hub centric, so no worries about the nuts not centering the wheel.

You'll also notice the nuts you pictured are tapered at the bottom as to be compatible with your steel spare wheel.

Just Google Toyota Shank type lug nut. The size is 12x1.5. Socket size is 21mm

 

So:

Bigger nuts = positive aesthetic

Check.
