I apologize for the long write-up, but bear with me!

So the time has just about come to do my first clutch done @180k on my '06 6MT. My throwout bearing is getting downright horrible and I figure there's obviously no sense in not doing a full clutch replacement while it's all apart considering my mileage and love of off-grid travel. So, here's my dilemma:

I'm currently scheduled to have it done at a local, well-loved and reviewed Toyota off road shop (RSG Offroad) with a 3yr/36k warranty, but they insist I use a LUK clutch kit over the Aisin (OEM spec) one. They said they will do the Aisin kit if I wish, but they far and away recommend the LUK kit over it. Has anyone had any experience with this kit? I'd really hate to not have it last as long as my current one has or to have the throw out bearing start squeaking after something like 50k.

Also, what do you all think about pricing? I called 3 places for quotes on the full job (parts and labor) and this is what I got:
Dealership- $1300 (OEM clutch, machine flywheel, new TOB, etc. 1yr/12k warranty)
Private Toyota Shop- $1425 (OEM clutch (presumably, didn't ask but they've always put OEM stuff on my truck), machine flywheel, new TOB, etc. 3yr/36k warranty)
RSG Offroad- $1330 (LUK clutch, complete flywheel replacement, TOB, etc. 3yr/36k warranty)

I've done a fair amount of research on TW as to the pricing and lots of people say they get quotes in the $1300 ballpark just like me, and then people call that price insane, but don't provide what it cost them to have theirs done, if they even have a manual. In my shopping around (and with the 3 places I trust with my truck above) it seems to be roughly the going rate. Thanks for any advice or longer-term clutch reviews!

Here's a pic of my baby!

Last clutch i had replaced cost a lil under 800. Then again that was in '04 or '05 before i got the Tacoma.

With inflation, sadly, it sounds about right...

Yeah, unfortunately I've watched the labor rates rise over the last couple years on stuff I can't do/can't make the time to do myself. Not so cheap unfortunately.
