    Send it.
It’s ugly, but it shouldn’t be a concern.

I would want a replacement, if time permits. I've done a bunch of clutches and never installed one like that.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I was not even sure what I was looking for.

The way things are handled today I have seen so much damage.

OP Just how did you receive this fly wheel online purchase or across the counter??

Was it in the original box ?? Lots of extra tape ?

Either it was returned boxed and shipped dropped in transit or post machining.

It wasn't packaged special or anything. There's also difficulty in getting it to set on the crank....I'm concerned now about its actual machining and runout. There's damage all over the thing as well as gouge where it lands on the crank....

It will about what you paid for it to have it machined. You need to pull studs to do it right. So that’s extra money. Welcome to the new age of parts. You can send that one back, wait, and hope the next one is better.

Depending on the gouge location, it may not be an issue. You’d be surprised at the shape some parts are in when they are put on. If no one can see it, full send.

I hate it. But that’s how it is.
Been this way since about 2010 or so.
    Junk, it’s all junk.

I really hate to agree it is in all areas just not in vehicles only.

Ideally, if the product was sold as new, you should get a part that is new. NOT that has been shipped out to someone else first. I was with you until you mentioned the fit on the crank and the runout. A bit too far back to go if you should have issues with it after you install it. Plus, if there is ANYTHING wrong at all with your truck after installing this, you'll have doubt in your mind. Best to just get it replaced NOW. I would contact the vendor and tell them you want a new, unused flywheel in its place. Make sure they have one and in my opinion, they should be paying for freight both ways. Parts are too costly to get something half-ass. A perfectionist would also turn the flywheel just to make sure it's straight. Just my nickels worth...

How do we know it was a return?
I bet poor packaging and poor handling in shipping was the root cause.

I had stated it could have been a few different possible ways it was scratched and damaged .

A return , shipping damage or dropped post machining !

I was supposed to be getting a new alternator at Napa I always check it was a core return that was never tagged and in the wrong place.

Well hopefully the genuine OEM stuff from the yota dealers is all up to snuff these days
That OEM flywheel is one pricey item :spending: even after 31 off + cyber Weeknd sale

    No telling.
    I haven’t seen the gouge.
But from what have seen so far.
I’d throw it on and call it good.
