what is the purpose of it?

 

The sleeve goes over the aluminum quill of the transmission to repair or prevent damage. The stock quill is part of the hell housing. The intent was to help with squeaky or chirping throwout bearings.
A throwout bearing will need to be over sized or the center bore will need to be enlarged for proper clearance on the new sleeve. Urd sells new bearing by them self's.

@pm321 Well hell..I can't believe I missed pricing it. I'll put it in a flat rate box, so $40 shipped. I'll toss in the brass connector so if you want to bypass the stock accumulator you can.
