Pelfreybilt, Warn, BAMF, DTRL toggle on/off, FJ OEM Fog/Aux Light switches, 2012 lower center console swap, wired in auto-dimming rear view mirror, Wet-Okole inside, Weathertech , Rigid, Tint, Roto-Pax, Bestop, OME, Extended SS brake lines, TRD TX Pro/Baja Graphite 16" Rims
stayed a couple hours late and TIG welded it up.

started with 3/16 electrode and wire, but switched up to 1/8 and the weld came out better with twice the heat I started with.

I also competed the bead from the factory stitch welding.

Now its ready for powdercoating

Did not enjoy laying in a puddle all morning. You're my hero Ratha!

Gonna have to chop up my custom crossmember again...needs even more adjusting than originally planned for.

Getting the exhaust routing fixed tomorrow.

    One step closer..

Easier switch, you don't have to mess with the electronics and switching ECU's. Manual shift into 4hi/lo.

i know it easier to swap, i just thought the FJ cases were blue? it looked like he was putting a taco case in, which has all the wiring and electro-garbage to go with it.

interesting. i think homers is blue, and my taco case is black. it might be that we live in a salt state, so they coated the cases up here to protect from rust.

both of you are close. it's the stock t-case with an inchworm 2wd trans adapter.

also had to shorten the output shaft by about 3.5" via cut-off wheel, angle grinding and lots of measuring gaps and test fitting. Swapping the trans out for a 4wd would have been about the same amount of work plus the cost..

    aaaand the conversion is done.

this is the wiring. I just followed the FSM one by one, figured out where each one goes.

    7ij8_f2a23f1f73b2e48f45724a87359a74efc30ba8bc.jpg

the 2wd harness and 4wd harness are different. the nice part was the 4wd wires plugged into the blank spots in the 2wd harness.

    asnx_80c8a668e7cc08eaa342b8cb663642da8c1be035.jpg

this is how it looks with all of the wiring installed. I had to add around 10 wires into the existing mess of wires on the ECU and relay junction panel.

    vtj1_433ba305b892953c6f2cad4b0a99d6290f2d0cca.jpg

I de-pinned the wires for the rear locker since I maintained the original 2wd locker wiring...saves me the hassle of doing the anytime-locker mod.

this is the custom trans support. I used the oem 4wd support and machined out the center of it and made a new mounting plate. welded it up and painted.

lights are included on all dash clusters, just needed to add the signal wires in the back.

    kc9k_cd6daf98996397f1f92541dff4ecda4ec0058502.jpg

    the inchworm trans adapter.

    xyya_bf416ab03b56b6e8b74e9a6e9072f27a6ed5dc53.jpg

had to measure and cut about this much off of the trans output shaft. It would have been easier to install a 4wd transmission.

    the y-pipe now.

Installed some ATO shackle flips a little while back, lots of droop with the RCD 5100's

Cut the exhaust to clear just a little, I'll eventually cut the exhaust a little more and put the TRD tip back on.
