Nice truck sir. I also pre-ordered a set of 17x8.5 Fiteen52 wheels, I assume you're on TRD Pro stock height, do you have any rub at full lock with those Wildpeak 265/70R17s?

    Thanks!

stock height is correct. I’m likely going to keep it at this height up front, and do a rear leaf pack. I rub the corner of the fender flare a bit, but only under load at full lock. Will trim.

I did this late in the evening so the light isn’t fantastic. But those are AJT Lunar rock that covers vents and letter inlay. I did his black out kit for the other stuff as well.
And yes when you look at them by themselves, they actually do look more gray than Lunar Rock. But they are the right color. When they go in the truck or you hold them up to the truck it’s pretty much dead on.

Totally never heard of this channel before and she totally made me feel like I screwed up by not getting a manual. Ha ha ha I have to go surf more of her videos - hilarious.

Yeah, I found her channel watching the review of the 2019 Tacoma. She's actually super genius level smart, former military, but really funny. I kinda wish she'd dress a bit less slooty. My wife is never impressed when she walks in the room when one of her videos is on.

I traded. The dealer gave me almost as much as I'd get selling private, plus you get the sales tax break, and you don't have to deal with the stress of letting people take test drives with your vehicle, and then worrying about if they can get financing, etc.

Any money lost is made up with less time and less stress.

Fun fact for the MT guys out there running stock tires - there's a linear way to figure out where you're at on engine speed vs vehicle speed when skipping gears either up or down:

    1st gear @ 10mph is 2000rpm
    2nd gear @ 20mph is 2000rpm
    3rd gear @ 30mph is 2000rpm
    4th gear @ 40mph is 2000rpm
    5th gear @ 50mph is 2000rpm
    6th gear @ 60mph is 2000rpm

Hell I'd deliver my truck personally anywhere in the world if someone were to give me 23k over what I paid.

Long term, one thing that's gonna keep the LR price up in the future is the current production problems most automakers are facing leading to an overall shortage of the one year color. I know Ford is having to temporarily close down plants due to semiconductor shortages related to the pandemic/an increase in demand of electronics. Somewhat related: I ordered a telescope back in January and it and most others are backordered indefinitely due to similar circumstances.

I ordered a mtn bike in January that was suppose to get to this shop on May 17th they told me Treck is really spot on with their delivery dates. I went and checked on it yesterday they told me it has been pushed back twice now and the new date is June 31st. I'm really hoping since I got a Vin for my LR it doesn't get pushed back as well.

I'd feel pretty good if you already have a Vin assigned. I would like to know what parts Toyota has to work to get. Maybe you'll get an email asking if you reallllyy want blind spot monitoring or the option to just send it brah.

I'm in Canada, and the shop I work at doesn't deal with Trek, so I'm don't know all the details but what I hear from my customers is that Trek hasn:t been been super-firm with dates. Many aren't coming until October here. If you have a deposit on a bike you'll likely get it though. I know my shop isn't anticipating any shortages from our original bookings... Just delays.

My Rocky Mountain Instinct came in early, before the season even started, and I'm worried my luck for the year is used up and my truck won't come in at all.

Wild year for bikes and trucks.

    It finally happened!

Thank you SO much @LRockPro for connecting me with Toyota Walnut Creek.

They are a great dealership that sold the LR Pro at MSRP.
