Looks like the same shitty Bridgestone dueler h/t that my 2016 4runner came with. I think the USA models use to get a similarly shitty Dunlop tire back then.

I think visually I like the newer looking LED headlights. However, after another cold weather with snow reminder, LED headlights seem to load up with snow and ice a lot easier. The halogens are the best at creating the heat required to keep the lenses clear. I was all about opting for LED headlights till I saw a few posts where people were complaining about their LED headlights stacking up with ice and losing their lighting. There seems to be a few halogen bulb replacements that are a decent improvement over what comes loaded in the OEM halogens. I found a TON of great information here that I've been reading up on. >> https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

I am close to pulling the trigger on a LR DCSH OR, but I think I will skip a few things. LED lights and color matched rear bumper. I think I would take the money saved and invest in an actual steel bumper that is more sturdy than both of the Toyota OEM options. At least, that's what I am thinking so far.

These are the exact two vehicles that I am debating pulling the trigger on. Both are very nice. The interior of the 4runner feels older than the Taco, but it's still nice.
It's hard to go wrong with either one though. The Lunar Rock color is a winner. I'm glad you can get it on either vehicle. It just looks so good with all the black accents. And it looks like a color that deals with being dirty and pinstripes a lot better than the MGM or MBM options. I'd usually opt for silver, but I'm just not all that excited about the Silver Sky Metallic. It's better than the Classic Silver offered on the 4Runner, but man.. I only like maybe 1 out of 6 or so pics of SSM when I see it. It just isn't all that shiny. It seems to swallow light and have about all the sparkle as a sheet of college ruled paper IMHO.

I'll take LED lights that maybe ice up once or twice a winter but out perform halogens by a mile every other day. It's been no problem yet on both our 4Runner and Tacoma. Two winters so far with the 4Runner.

Not saying it wont happen but it's not a huge deal.

They’re Dunlop AT20s. Had them on a couple 4Runners stock. They’re ok, he’s just running them until the spring till his TE37s go on with Ridge Grapplers

Lunar rock has been hiding dirt fairly well so far, but I also wash it frequently.
I’ve seen a few silver tacos in person and actually really liked them. I like that they’re darker than the usual silver. I also liked the red in person, as well as cement, although my wife said cement was boring. I think we’re fortunate to have some great colour choices.

I ran them for about half a year as well. All 4runners trd’s must come with the Dunlop’s now.

Right on. I'd love to see them side by side, or read more of that huge post about lights. There are some halogen upgrades for bulbs that are supposed to greatly improve light output, but we'll see. Thanks for sharing your experience with your LED's.

I have a 21 ORP 4Runner and a 22 ORP tacoma and honestly for long trips I prefer the 4Runner. It’s just more comfortable all around. My wife insisted on the midnight black Metallic which is an awesome color in the light but holy shit do I hate the Maintnence of a black vehicle haha. I absolutely love the lunar rock on my tacoma though. It hides dirt really well!

Great shot, the way the lights are like beams

And I agree on the road trip comment. Between the two I’d reach for the 4Runner too. It’s nothing against the taco, they serve different primary functions. For a truck the Tacoma has exceeded my expectations so far.

I had an ORP 4runner and agree, it’s a more comfortable vehicle, and more interior room.

Glad to hear lunar rock hides dirt well
