I am finally getting around to post in the new member forum after joining Tacoma World last winter. I picked up a new to me 2006 Access Cab Prerunner base with the 2TR-FE and 5 speed manual with 49k in August 2011. I bought it site unseen on ebay from a big used dealer in Houston, TX. It was the exact truck I was looking for, and I have been really happy. I lurked on this forum for about a year before I bought my truck. I have a previous toyota background having owned a 94 standard cab 4x4 22re 5spd toyota pickup from 99 to 06. Here are a couple pics a couple months after I bought the 06.

Thanks to this site, I have already completed a lot of modifications. I have added factory cruise control, intermittent wipers, class 3 hitch, scangauge II, cabela's weathertech floor mats, and a deezee bed mat. Reading the tow bible convinced me to pay to have somebody install a brake controller and 7 blade trailer connector. Members on this site also inspired me to debadge my tacoma, and remove the mud flaps and running boards. I really like the cleaner look that created.

Thanks man. Nice truck, it looks good with the shell. I am kicking myself a little, I passed on a used ARE shell in the same color for $550 used on craigslist a few months ago. I had a Brahma shell on my 94 pickup. I'm leaning towards a tonneau cover though like the Advantage Torza Top.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting a tonneau cover (I had shells on my 3 PreTacos that I used for work) but the wife wanted the shell for camping. I'm glad we got it for the extra room.
