Picked up an MGM TRD off road double cab 4x4 6MT today. Truck is bad ass. plenty of power, smooth on road manners, off road, not so much. Stock radio sounded fine at low volume, but when turned up(is how I like to listen to music), it got loud, but not loud enough. The head unit does have some fancy features though, which will definitely prevent me from ripping it out sooner than later. The manual tranny is notchier than I am used to, and I'm still getting used to the throw of the clutch.

All in all, it hasnt yet hit me that I purchased a new vehicle today, but I'm slowly liking it more and more. Oh yeah, I put close to 100 miles today  just going around town, and working out the engine

not a special order. I originally wanted just an SR5 with tow pacakge, but our market is just saturated with TRDs, and 6MTs are scarce. I also had a referral from the top guy of toyota of california. I think Im happy with what I had paid, $100 under sticker price OTD

yeah, up here in Maine, they never carry the MT version of any of the higher end Tacomas, which really shocks me, I would think the hicks up here would all want MT.
