Free replacement battery from Costco is in. :bananadance:

I really wanted to try one of the Exide's from Home Depot, but they only had two dated April 2019 and November 2022. o_O

Not much in this front. Washed the Z today despite the extreme heat. Thank goodness for shade. Did replace the hood struts today.

I can usually see the fuel gauge drop when I drive mine. The tires smoke pretty bad too.

Figure I'd share my catfish, if I had the room I would own a bakers dozen of them. Anyways OP have you considered gears along with the converter. Your car should have 2.73s if you could find a stock rear from a SS they have 3.42s in the 6spds and 3.23 in the A4s and swap them out or swap gears in your rear end to 3.73s. Either of them would wake the car up with the addition of the converter.

Very nice! Converter is on my list. My car had some work done. Still sorting through it all. It’ll push the tires just fine as is, I’d still like better rear end as it is a weak one lol.

@novanut21 2.73 for a stock gear is pretty disappointing though for even a Z28 I’d say.

True they are weak but with your car being an auto there's less shock on the drivetrain making the stock rear hold up little better. I still have stock rear in my car with a set of 4.10s and I'm putting down 550+hp to the wheels with a 6spd, now it is a street car and I don't track it. Also, if you don't know ls1tech.com is a great forum little slow these days but has tons of great info.

Dang that’s awesome, that kind of power and gears. Must be a blast. Read on LS1 quite often. As you said lots of good info.

SOLD Today, one less thing to move. I'll miss some things about it, but I never liked it as well as the red 2002 SS with t-tops that I had. I'm picking up another vehicle in January to replace it. :burnrubber:

Pulled my Z out for a bit yesterday and let it idle in the driveway. Ready for spring to be able to drive it again.
