we will not be taking race truck so no trailer, unless Jerry brings the Plow out...

 

Ah I'm out. Should just save the gas for the race weekend; I'll do a local run instead.

After looking at the map, I'm still a little confused how this race will be run. Are the Class 1, 10, 12 etc. starting at Slash X and heading out down the power-lines toward Hodge and then cutting back toward the freeway pass Outlet center and meet up with the other loop around Stoddard Wells Rd?
While the other classes start at Slash X head up into the hills to the radio antennas pass Outlet center go down the Mile of Danger and head back to Stoddard Wells and finish their lap at Slash X?

Im a little familiar with Barstow but I can't seem to understand this map, can someone please help explain. I want to find a good place to go out Saturday morning on my bike that's pretty technical and has a lot of passing.

 

yah, the map and the GPS show two different things...

i have it mapped out in Garmin format if you want...

 

loop 1 is 13 miles and loop 2 is 19 miles with loop 1 mm 11 to start/finish and loop 2 mm 16 to start/finish being the common ground between the two...

I hope it isn't as confusing as it looks, I just want to see some good racing.

Thanks for the offer on the Garmin format, I would take it if I had a GPS.

Where will most people be in the morning? Slash X?

I usually like the riding off of Outlet Center Dr and head to the wash in between Slash X and the radio towers, but I would like to check out a new spot. Next weekend will be my friends first off-road race spectating, and I want to show him a good race. Any ideas?

if you want to see some fast paced action without having to move to different spots of the race, the common ground between Lap 1 MM11 and MM13 is good as it also contains Lap 2 MM16 to MM19...

 

a popular and designated Spectator Viewing Area is the at the End of the Wash before we make the Left turn to pop up onto Bartsow Main, their is plenty of action their, its safe as you are elivated 15 feet from race course and by how small the couse is their should be constant door to door action all thru out race course.....no matter what be safe and please know the rules so no one gets hurt, especially since you will have a new person to the sport with you

I'm planning on being there Friday night.

 

I just ordered 40 hand warmers to help with the cold. I'm probably gonna do an overnighter since I got ZERO desert hours in over the weekend.
