    I'm going to assume you're talking about mods that improve drivability.

    It would be:
    1. Accumulator delete
    2. Tune
    3. Core short shifter

    Was going to say the same except i went the URD short shifter. Either way, the reduced throw length is noticeable and well worth it.

    OP - I also got a Getta Grip shift knob (mountain bike grip adapter) a little weird at first but i like it way more than the OEM knob. A lot of folks seem to like aftermarket knobs over OEM.

    Planning to get an N2 remote start someday as well.

    M/T Specifically? Nothing much except a new shift knob. Non M/T specific, I put on some E rated Falken Wildpeak AT3w's on and they're awesome for offroad and snow!

    I really hated the tires that came with it, I ended up selling them because I was ready for some beefier ones. Any thoughts on a lift as well?

    TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
    OV tune = big improvement
    Need to do the accumulater delete.

    Accumulator delete.
    Tune (I went with Valley Runner and am very happy).

    I might change the knob. I wish there was a way to add a lock on reverse (my Corrola has a collar that must be lifted to put it in reverse).

    I don't know what I'm missing regarding a short throw shifter and will probably leave it that way.

    1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels
    URD short shifter, and the Maggie are my two favorite things

    The ADM is on my list, it's much needed if you actually know how to drive a manual. When I drive my 2000 manual and then go back to driving my 19 that accumulator gets me at least once right after switching back. It's pretty annoying. My 2000 is a 4cyl, turbo'd with a 4 puck sprung hub competition clutch, and I stall my 19 more often. Lmao

    You’re missing nothing, they’re missing gears. Our shifters have really good engagement stock(except I do recall 5-6 took just a little getting used to) and the big heavy flywheel means that faster shifts just make it jerky cuz the revs need a sec to drop.

    This is a driver mod, not a truck mod, but if you don’t know how to heel toe it vastly improves the experience of driving any manual.

    Interesting, I had not heard that term before, but I had tried it on my own for hill starts. Personally, learning the bite point of the clutch has worked much better for me than trying to work 3 pedals at once. I don't race, but I do plent of uphill starts on ice/gravel/mud.

    It is a good skill to have but in 18 years of manual driving I have never needed it for daily driving on the road except for hill starts. Though I use it all the time when my racing around in my Miata.

    It’s all a matter of personal preference, but if you enjoy a clutch that’s more grabby than the easy to slip stock one, then it’d be an upgrade as far as drivability. Not needed though at stock power levels obviously.

    I also vote for the core/Hurst shifter. That is an awesome upgrade, I enjoy mine daily!

    Don’t *need* it but it’s so satisfying. Ever since I learned how within my first few months after learning stick at all I can’t not do it. Like if you’re coming up to a 90 degree turn up a hill what does everyone else do? Brake way too early? Shift awkwardly after? So much nicer to just snick down through the gears while braking.

    also very useful sometimes when wheeling to be proficient at modulating all three pedals at once.
