Just curious if anyone out there has any experience with these guys? I am not talking about one of there cheapo jobs. They do offer a higher quality job(I hope) that is around $2,000. I know it's not gonna be a show quality job but for that price if it looks "good" I can deal with that. So lets hear it guys?

That's mostly what I have heard honestly. I have read some good things about them but more bad. It seems that since it is a franchise that it really depends on the shops owner and location.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'd try them. They deserve a chance. The more trim you remove the better a paint job there'll be. Sounds good to me.

    Too few to list.
I've had the $300 paint job. It's good for about a year or so. It's all in the prep though.

    Odds and Ends
Had them shoot a truck several years ago. Came out pretty nice, was about $1800. Couple months later I parked near where some sprinklers came on. Ended up with water spots that turned into pink polka dots on a red truck. Either that was some serious chlorine int the city water or some shitty paint, I'm thinkin paint.

My uncle used to work for Maaco and he told me to never take my truck there.

You're probably not old enough to remember "Earl Scheib", he'll paint any car for $29.99. Well we've come along way since then, but I think you get the idea where I'm heading with this.

I've seen some cars painted by Maaco that were excellent and others that looked like they added sand to the mix! Results will vary widely from franchise to franchise and from painter to painter. Like it was mentioned above, its all in the prep work. If they don't take their time with the prep work and do it correctly, the paint will look horrible or it won't last.

That being said, I've seen custom jobs come out of independant body shops whereas you would've been better off with Maaco and no worse for wear.

The only advice I can give you is to ask around and see what the finished product looks like cause it's a real crap shoot.

    Good luck,

$2 K is a cheap job,, quality material could cost that depending on the color.
