I am looking at fixing some minor bodywork, and having bumpers pulled out/replaced....any suggestions? It's an '03 w/ a rebuilt title so a lot of body shops won't touch it....

What do you mean "a lot of body shops won't touch it"? I don't understand what a rebuilt title has to do with an auto body shop doing work:confused:

Some states are funny that way .

They think it is the end of the world .

Most likely they just don`t want that work and use the reconstructed title as a excuse.

Every one of my vehicles is reconstructed

I've never once had to provide a title to get work done on a car.

I've never had a body man I'd hand a vehicle to ask me a thing about the status of the title. All they care about is the status of my bank account.

Macco's are franchises. The quality of the work totally depends on the staff, their management and your relationship with them. The actual paint they use might not be the highest grade, as for their prices they have to cut corners somewhere. But it can look good for 2-3 years and is adequate for a salvage vehicle.

You could consider doing the whole outside in Monstaliner as well, especially if you off road with it.

Dont know anything about it being salvage but had some work done at a MAACO in Roswell GA and they did a really good job, that was the second maaco I went to get a quote and the first one was really bad. they are evidently franchises, some good some not so good

Time flies when your having Fun!!

I know back in the day friends would do all the prep work then take the vehicle to Macco because back then they had a state of the art spray booth.

As was said it all depends on the employees of any given place .

I know they cut corners on the prep work

If we even have any around here I have not seen them years but never looking does not help

Yeah, the guy said it's a liability thing w/ the re-built title and TN makes you display a sticker in the door jamb saying it's re-buiult so big name shop's won't work on them b/c they don't know what's been done to it before hand....I'd never had any issues with a rebuilt title before.....kinda strange.
