    Hello Fellow First Generation Junkies,

Has anybody used Macco to have their first generation repainted? Please tell me what you thought of the results. I know they don't do high quality work, but I am curious as to what first hand people thought of their work.

    Take it easy,
    Paul

You get what you pay for with paint. Even if they do a good job, the paint would fade in a few years. I was quoted $1,500 for a full body repaint with integrated clear single state. He told me it would start to fade in 3-4 years so I didn’t go through with it.

Meanwhile a good custom shop in San Francisco who would properly prep the truck and paint with high quality paint and finish quoted me $8,000.

Yup to the above - what you pay... is what you get. I've seen 30K paint jobs... and I've seen 6K that looks just as good.... just depends on what condition your vehicle is in and to what degree of perfection YOU ARE EXPECTING.
