I'd rather be in a war zone with a tacoma than a humvee, just saying.

I mean, the highest of the high speed dudes don't use military vehicles for some operations. Civilian equipment is sometimes better suited for special purpose mission sets. With that in mind, it makes even more sense for him to use a modern offroad truck for demo purposes than a dated antique like a humvee

So this is a pic of my brother in Iraq. They found a Jeep with a recoilless rife mounted in the passenger seat...I dont think it was ever fired (they killed the driver), because if it was, the driver likely would be deaf, and had crashed-and the "mount" would have torn away (It was bolted to the floor panel).

Ya, what fun to be flying over sand dunes in a Willys MB (or Ford GPW) with a machine gun! I wanted a Jeep very badly... finally got one in 1975 when I was 17. That is another story!!! LOL

Ma Duece .50 cal machine guns are awesome , so are the 7.62 M60 machine guns

My terrible attempt at making a mount wont let me drive it around. I'd assume you'd see me on national TV if so.

I loved Rat Patrol as a kid. In fact I had a Rat Patrol lunch box when I started first grade in '67. You'd probably get expelled for something like that in school now.

Funny, lately I've been pining for a flat fender Willys. This doesn't help.

 

You are WILDLY overpaying for .50 at $8/ea You can get Lake City 4/1 linked for sub-$3. Even APIT are only like mid-$4s.

 

I know of a quad that had fully operational version mounted on it. Yes there are pictures, and I have even seen them online with the riders face blacked out. But they may have been "asked nicely" to have them removed since I have not been able to find that picture in the wild again
