It comes down to what you are using it for, imo. If you're just browsing and watching movies your vizio will do the trick and you can just open it up if you need higher resolution for any specific. If you want a bigger monitor to use more often for any kind of graphics or games or anything like that go with the samsung monitor. Resolution will always be way better on a monitor than an HDtv, but if you don't need it then don't worry about it.

Since you already have it I say set up your vizio and tell me how it works out (I'm thinking about doing this too!). If you don't like how it works out or just doesn't cut it for your needs you can always get a monitor later.

It would depend on the graphics card. I run Madden 2009 on my computer with highest quality and a resolution of 1920X1080. There is no lagging in game performance.

I have my computer connected to my Vizio 32" w/ an HDMI. There is a program called Power Strip that can help you adjust the computer graphics. Since I upgrade my graphics card, there is no need to run Power Strip. Just need to adjust the settings.

That doesn't help your argument :p

Just use the Vizio man, since it's only for every now and then, there's no way I could justify buying a new stand alone monitor like that one for occasional use.

What do pissed-off disappointed customers come back with? Usually the stuff they just went cheap on and knew they should have paid a few more bucks :p
