I'm good. I realized how much it would cost me to buy a TRX and then add all the shit on top like top of the line suspension, bumpers, skids, winch, lights, rack etc. I'd be at $130k. What I have now works for me.

TRX is good on paper, but it's a Dodge/FCA product. I would never buy it ever.

RAM is the most reliable truck made for at least 5 years.

This isnt the 90s or early 2000s Dodge.

Seriously? Streetspeed is one of the nicer, most honest guys who just loves cars on all of youtube

Man this place really is full of whiny little nonenthusiasts who would be better suited driving a prius or a tesla on full auto pilot.

"Loves cars" but launches a TRX? Hmm.

    Tesla's are nice, btw.

Well since you asked, actually I'm at $26.5k to be exact. I know this because I recently had to list everything out for my insurance company, with detailed pictures. I paid full retail for everything so that doesn't help. Not included in this is the Sherpa rack I have on order, so I'll be at $27.5k minus whatever I get for my OEM rack when I sell it. I like nice things, don't like to buy cheap stuff. Here are the gory details:

So there you go, a detailed accounting of how one can sink $25k into a Tacoma, and still not have a supercharger or engine swap. My only regret on this entire list is the Rigid grill + light. That on top of my bumper lights are complete and utter overkill at night.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Neighbor bought a trx. 90% of the bed is filled with a spare tire. Kinda defeats having a “truck” to me.

    Dude, couple of things.

This truck looks fantastic. You've poured a ton of money into it. You should consider putting in a supercharger rather than lusting over a very expensive RAM that is likely to have a myriad of issues down the road. I'm a bit of a Toyota fanboy, but I definetly get more excited about Jeep/Dodge/Ram products. TRX and Rebels are amazing looking and driving trucks new off the lot. Dodge KILLS IT with interior and initial motor sound/performance, etc.

Also normally I don't like those XDs wheels with all the bolts on it, but it pairs fantastic with your fenders and the bed cover.

Have you looked into the URD Y-pipe?

Better than the years that you mentioned, sure.

I'm not considering getting a TRX at all. I was just really impressed after riding in it.

Thanks for the nice words! I considered the Magnuson, but honestly I'm at the point where I'm done with the mods. I don't have the appetite to drop another $7-8k into it. Besides back in 2020 when I bought all this stuff, my business had its best year ever. On top of that I received a huge chunk of change in stimulus money, so I just decided to splurge on a new toy. Allowed me to buy the truck outright + mods. First half of 21 was strong, but business has pared back quite a bit, so the spending spree is over :)

I did the exhaust reroute to tuck under the RCI skids, but need to keep cats to stay legal here in Commiefornia, so no URD Y-pipe for me.

Ahh, gotcha. Honestly I mainly did mine in my 2016 to reroute the exhaust. (I was pleased to see that my 2.7 routes the exhaust up top) The cat thing was secondary and actually makes the truck a little raspy on the top end and isn't always the most pleasant sound. I think the cats tame it out a bit.

I’ve ridden in the trx and the raptor. The deciding factory for me is simple, I can’t afford either haha. Problem solved.

That’s an option. This thing is a toy. Ain’t nobody filling it up with manure and work the farm.

2nd most searched "Why are Ram trucks so unreliable?" when I looked up dodge ram reliability... lol

You buy domestics for power, cheap parts, and they do look nice. I'm partial to the ford F150 myself (raptor specifically) but... I'm so tired of working on my truck. I just wanted a Toyota that I literally just put gas into and that's it.
