Looking good Nick! Where did you acquire the trailer from and how much? I've been watching some military auctions and they start at $300.

Also for grinding disc... I recently started using the 5" Diablo Fiber Disc. Just have to get the 4 1/2" backing kit. @ $6 a 4 pack they out perform good flapper discs.

So after lots of sanding and grinding, and painting, and puting on new wheels and tires, and new shocks I thought the trailer was done.

But then when the leafs flex the shackle hits the old mounting point. so I cut that off. But now my shocks are to long. Hopefully @JLee can help me move the shock mounts over on the axle this weekend.

Dont know the shocks bottomed out pulling out of the driveway so I left it parked. I flexed it out with the highlift and it actually flexed which it didnt do before.

Got the trailer off a toyota120 member that built it a couple years ago. But he wanted to start building a new one.

Thanks. Its a work in progress. Eventually it will have drawers, a lid, stove, cooking platform, and a water tank. But for now it just needs shock mounts and a canvas cover.

that sad moment..... when your trailer has better shocks than my truck.

Realistically id like those shackle mounts on the frame moved back a bit to get the shackle closer to straight up and down at ride height, that will give you most flex. Still have them slightly at a backward angle as they are now but say half as much.

Either way im just nitpicking as like stated.... your trailer has better shocks than mosts trucks.

Thanks man. Yeah. Im wondering how far back the shackle will go when the truck is loaded. The Leafs are pretty soft. Ill get the shocks moved and then take it on a couple trips loaded to test it out. I went alittle over board with the shocks on the trailer but why not. The whole trailer is overboard.
