    ...too much shit to list.
Yes the axle will marginally flex, but keep in mind the trailer is more like a 3 wheeler with the hitch he has. The max coupler has 3 axis rotation so if he drives one side of the trailer onto a rock the coupler will rotate along that axis taking out most of the flex. And I'm sorry...you're incorrect about a vertical shackle at ride height having maximum droop. Moving the pivots forward will allow more overall droop as the whole axle will droop forward as well as down during droop travel. Ultimately the shackle length and position depends on how much lateral movement the springs have during bump/droop. Not like it's just a trailer frame either. He's got the weight of the trailer as well as the RTT on it. You can also fine tune the ride by marginally moving the pivot as well as the shackle angle affects spring rate. Only way to do it right is to cycle the suspension and set your pivots based on the spring/shackle combo.

May want to hold off on new shock positioning until you finalize your pivot location. Otherwise you're just going to have to cut them off again.

Jason sounds smart so he must be right... Im to excited to get this thing rolling. Ill get the shocks moved and redo it all if I have to. I dont mind doing things multiple times to get them right. Truck is on the 3rd or 4th suspension, 3rd offroad rear bumper, all the other armor on the truck has been replaced twice.

Killer rig man!! I like your trailer too. The wife and I might take something like that on someday. We like to build things so I think itd be fun. What was the hardest part of building the trailer?

Trailer turned out sweet. Have you tried just removing the shocks? I'm guessing it would still ride just fine without the shocks, at least so you can verify you have the shackle pivots where you want them.

Any binding with your tent lift system? Looks like its working pretty well.

Thanks man. I'll pull the shocks and load the trailer with a normal amount of gear Saturday before I take it to get new shock mounts welded on and make sure the shackles are in a good spot.

The lift system worked great when I got it even though it was rusty. I cleaned off all the rust and lubed it And now it works even better. Only add part is closing it takes two people.

Yeah, the lift system like that is super simple (looks pretty much identical to mine) but it can be tricky putting it down without 2 people. I figured out a good way to do it when I was alone. I'd close up the tent and just climb on top of the closed tent. With me on the top there was enough weight to drop the lift down to the low setting. :) Not exactly the most elegant way to do it but it works.

Its for making them and for dealing with them after. Lots of room for a crib in the down stairs.

With some help from @JLee and @jberry813 I got the trailer suspension working. New longer shackles got the shackle angle corrected and new shock tabs allow the trailer to use the full travel of the shocks. Couldnt be happier with the result.
