I'm 15 hours from BAMF, so this will be done locally.

My truck is slightly flexed in my driveway so on flat ground there's usually a little more shaft, but that's what I mean, not much up travel..

Me too, I had a local off road shop do it while I watched. Most of the time was just grinding off the stock mounts.

My understanding is SOA won't give you much bump but all droop and ride height

That's what I figured after having this done. Not like I need a ton so I don't rub in my fender well, but loaded down that's how much shock was showing, so I bottomed them out over large bumps on that trip. I guess I'll be basically riding my bumps when fully loaded

If that lower shock tab was clocked down you can expose more shaft and get more bump travel and slightly limit droop, however the spring/shackle setup may already be the droop limiter anyways so it may not even affect your droop by doing so, just get you the up travel needed.

Yeah I'm thinking it has to do with how high the shop welded on those lower shock tabs @northwesttaco

Da hell? Where are the misalignments?
And where is the rest of that shock bolt? Zero threads exposed.

Thats the bolt/nuts that Jerry sent me. I called him about it and just an FYI that it needs to be a 3" bolt, not 2.5".. Not even going into that right now.. And no its not even touching the nylon. I just haven't gotten a 3" bolt yet.

I do think the lower shock mount needs to be angled down a bit, we followed his instructions on them exactly. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/b-a-m-f-2nd-gen-rear-shock-relocation-kit-gb-feeler.247681/

Fuck that. No way I would drive around with a short bolt like that. Good way to ruin a nice shock.
Snohomish is what...like a 4 mile diameter town? You can't be that far from Home Depot.

Those instructions don't really point out where you clock the lower mount. That's up to you/installer to cycle the suspension with your shock of choice.

If I redo the lower shock mount then I'll get the new bolts then.. If I don't then I'll do it right when I decide. And yeah it's pretty much 4 diameter haha
