I bet you'll eventually lift your truck and put big tires on it...you know you want to.

OP, interior mods look great. The fact that you did them yourself, saved who knows in $ and they turned out looking awesome. Well done, Sir.

Thank you so much. Door panels are next.

I am definitely looking at Husky liners. Had a bad experience with Weatherteach's on my legacy, so I'm gonna give these a shot. No need until winter. These LL Bean Waterhogs, while not the prettiest, have been burly for 12 years now.

lol... would love to, but Ol Red is gonna stay stock.

    Had a full size Bronco with a 4" suspension lift and 33 x 12.5s.

    Thanks man. Appreciate it.

    The interior is looking good.

Have you tried the 303 on the vinyl dyed pieces yet?

Only 'Build' thread I've read here so far. Hard to think there is a better one. Keep up the fine work (and keep that great sense of humor).

I have. And as I've always done in the past I just moisten the microfiber cloth, then wipe down the interior parts.

Absolutely no issues on either the vinyl dye (on both actual vinyl and plastic components) or the spray paint, which is strictly on plastic components.

    Everything is holding up fine.

And to calm any concerns, it's been super hot and sunny lately and their is no smell or off gassing from the dye or spray paint.

lol, thanks man... I appreciate the words

    The transmission shift knob?

    Ebay:

Don't know if this is the exact one because I paid $19.99 before shipping. But it's the one that looks closest to it

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-TRD-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc1a116b1&vxp=mtr

And there are a bunch of other options that have different colored stitching (something I personally wanted to avoid)

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=tacoma+trd+shift&_sacat=0

^ scroll through that last link... you'll find cheaper options for the same shifter knob posted above

Are you looking for parts to do the 95.5-97 front end swap? Just curious because I saw a grille come up fs locally.

Spending needs to kind of go on hold for now... unless it's for absolutely a ridiculously low price.

I feel ya! Probably not within your consideration priced at $80. I have no clue what those grilles go for normally :notsure:

Look up Robin Williams' definition of divorce.

    That'll do it to you.

Did the "clutch pedal squeak" mod (thanks trmarshall1 for the brake pedal return spring!)

I actually took the bottom portion of the dash off (I mean, it's four bolts and a screw) because I'm not a contortionist and I had a hard time getting leverage on the torsion spring.

I also only have a large crowbar... that didn't fit under there, so I was using the largest flathead screwdriver I have for the prying. I had a slight bitch of a time getting that middle part (2nd pic) out of the groove on the pedal. I'm going to go back out there and just bend the one end of the spring around the head near the cotter pin, for peace of mind.

But all in all, it took me less than 10 minutes. Took Ol' Red for a test drive and I love the feel of the pedal now. Just slightly tighter feel than original. Plus it returns to the utmost position which is nice for the cruise control switch. (I'm just going to have to get used to not sticking my foot behind the pedal now :) )

Oh... and most importantly. NO MORE SQUEAK!!!

I did the same thing with mine, works much better. Seems like it would be a lot more practical for them to just be made that way! And when u did mine my hand slipped and I gouged my knuckle good on that galvanized looking metal piece where the spring hooks, I was of course in the runnings parking lot when I did it lol

I was wearing safety glasses of course... but when I was having a bitch of a time trying to get that bastard out, I took the glasses off to get a clearer look (the glasses are yellow but so scratched up) and I finally pop that facker off... and a chunk of something went in my eye.
