Nice work, looking real good. Swapping out the Warn(?? came with them) hubs out with some Asins, be nice to have 4wd again. Then the tundra brake upgrade. Then give the wallet a breather while i track down a set of early tundra spare rims, I'm running @35/85 R16s on 8" wheels- not really what I wanted to do but after the flat tire party a couple years ago, everything took a sharp turn to the expensive.
I'm thinking of going with 4:56 gears, since i spend more time getting to the wheeling than actually wheeling. How is your mileage post supercharger?
Thanks again, your build is inspirational.

And so it begins. Boxing the frame, new cross member, better supporting mounts for the rear bumper and clean up the wiring.
    This is all for today.

I'm still debating doing the boxing on mine. I have the outer frame plates already.

I did it because overkill, but I think having the outer plates by themselves is a big improvement on its own. Having everything accessible for the relocation made it easier to pull the trigger, but damn that’s a lot of welding.

I do like the idea of overkill, especially with the weakish Taco frames. But it would add more time and expense at this point so I'll probably just save the boxing for a later date.

    I can definitely understand that.

I’m not raising my fuel tank like @cynicalrider is doing because I’m getting dangerously close to my deadline for the project.

That's because I didn't strip my frame to nothing. Although I like how you are doing yours. Even with the box kit, there is a section that is missed.

Great progress! Looks like you positioned your upper shock mount bar in the same location as I did or pretty close.

Yup, that and fixing the leaking axle seals with new seals, bearings and rear shoes.

Oops, that was probably directed @Phessor and not me. :anonymous:

You posted your comment while I was typing.
Were are you at on yours? I just picked up some new to me shocks. I'm debating on inboard vs outboarding them .

I got the correct bushings in today. I'll finish up the shock relocation (inboard) this weekend and hopefully get the axle seal/bearings/brakes done as well. Then I just need to gather some people to help with putting the bed back on.

All back together, except for the 2000 pound bed rack. I need to come up with something different to cut some weight.

Redid the mounts for my air compressor and tank while I had the bed off.

Outstanding! Nicely done. How long until you decide on the new rear shocks so you can finish the shock relocation?
