How do you like the 4.88's ?? The debate is a real struggle 4.56 vs 4.88. You truck is heaver than mine but otherwise pretty similar. I was starting to hurt going up the hills stock with 265's and all the weight. But now with the 33's its pretty bad.
I already talked to Ken so I just need to make a decision on the gears. I'd appreciate you impression and thoughts.

I am glad I went with 4:88 gears. The rpms are just a tad more than the stock 4:10s and stock tires.

I need to get his contact info and see about getting a quote. I’ve decided on 4.88s.

Ken wanted me to go with 5:29s but I have no plans to run 35 inch tires. 4:88 was perfect for 33's

I swapped out my old steering wheel for a Lexus IS300 one with a Rav4 center section and 4Runner column plastic.
I still need to get the correct clock spring and do the resistors on the C/C shaft.
But I like how it looks.

Yes it is, and I can tell you it isn't as strong as it used to be.

I'm sure the extra weight hasn't helped any...

I hear a rebuild in the wind!! Or a JDM replacement?? Those seem to be decent options.

I was thinking of a JDM when the time comes. Hopefully I have a few years left. It doesn't burn oil or have any blow by, just not as strong as it used to be.

Hearing all this talk about weight makes me want to weight my truck and see how heavy/light it is.
