Today I decided to install the octagon alignment cams I received from @ForestRunnerFrank99

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-be-all-end-all-to-your-alignment.770995/

It took about an hour and a half to complete the install, that included replacing the outer tie rod ends. I have an appointment for next week to get the front end aligned.
    20220823_122907.jpg

I also finished my mounting system for my DCU topper, I have mounted the road shower and Maxtrax recovery boards on top.
I plan to make a tube to hold my gas filler nozzles so they are not in the back with me.

Just trying to get everything ready for next months adventure.

Do you think whoever you take it to will know what to do with the octagons? Also what's that mounted to the side of the camper? Those three things that look like hinges

I stopped by the shop and talked to the tech. He knew about them before he even saw my truck. I told him if it's close enough to just do a toe adjustment.

Those are my locking shovel and axe mounts. I was making more room, now I have to watch my head so I don't get cut.

This wasn't one of my better ideas. .

They did great! And the puncture in the sidewall was my fault, misjudged a rock in the road.

The biggest thing I noticed was they shed the mud very good. I like them so far.

How did you attach the awning to the ARE cap? I have almost the same one I think (only with windows on the sides and not a full rear--I kept the tailgate on.) I would like to add an awning to the side of mine too.

I used ARB brackets and bent them to the correct angle then drilled the mounting holes through the side and the frame tubing. I added flat straps to the inside for extra support. They have worked great.
